If you go to any country you will soon realize that they have crime just as we do. Certainly that does not mean you should never travel. Understand the things you may need to do or be prepared for before you journey out. There may be certain scams for example that are played on travelers. Many countries work hard to deter all this though. Tourism can be a huge part of the economy and they do not want anything to hurt that.
