Not All Islands Are The Same

Certainly if you do any travel at all you will know that all the islands in the world are nowhere near the same. Some islands may be much larger than others. Some islands may have very rugged and mountainous terrain. These islands can be much tougher to live on. People that do live there usually live at the base of the mountains. With mudslides and the possibility of volcanic activity this can be a scary ordeal.

Some islands though may be very flat and desolate places. The Galapagos Islands for example may have had tons of wildlife that many of us have never seen, but the islands were not inhabited by man.

Other islands may be new. They may not even be one square mile in size and are still being raised from the depths of the sea due to the under water volcanic activity.

Regardless of what kind of island you prefer, many people just love to visit islands. They can often have amazing beaches, beautiful hills and mountains and have the best weather! So if you love to island hop, next time take a little effort and notice some of the differences between the places you travel to.
